The talk will cover what they have at the Society and how to find the following:
County wide sources such as county histories etc., local material about a single place, registers (both Cof E and nonconformist), Monumental or tombstone inscriptions, census transcripts and indexes including those before 1841, directories, poll books and voters registers and lastly periodicals such as county and local record society publications
The new premises in Wharf Road are much smaller than the old library so Sue will also go over what is immediately available there and what is held off-site and how to order material in advance of your visit.
Please note, this talk will be recorded and available for members to view for ONE MONTH ONLY
